Players got to know various information regarding the Dendro nation Sumeru from this update.
The first information came through the newly added area known as The Chasm. Later on, NPC Liben appeared to tell us some shocking information about Sumeru. Players can now find new information through Spices from the West Event.

4 crucial things on Sumeru from Genshin Impact Spices from the West event
Most of the information on Sumeru is given by Nazafarin who is a researcher from Sumeru and has come to Liyue in order to conduct some experiments on the nation’s spices.
Food experiments in Sumeru Academia
When players encounter Nazafarin, they would find her saying that she’s in deep trouble as she wants to help her friend Parvaneh who belongs to the Sumeru Academia and is trying to do create the ultimate seasoning, a seasoning which will apparently make every food delicious.
Nazafarin’s friend from Fontaine
Nazafarin has a very unique way of speaking as she refers herself as ‘Poor Nazafarin’ whenever she interacts with the Traveler. She mentions that she learnt it from a friend who lives in Fontaine. The detailed description she provides about the friend suggests that this friend might become a playable character in future.
Eremites
Eremites is the name of an organization of warriors who can do anything for money. Nazafarin in Genshin Impact mentions them as true soldiers of fortune which implies that Sumeru might not have a real army. Apparently, the rich people hire the eremites but the NPC even states that they use bizarre powers which perhaps suggest of a vision.
Adventurer’s Guild in Sumeru
Each nation in Teyvat has its own Adventurer’s Guild but from what Nazafarin mentions, players are speculating that either there is no Adventurer’s Guild in Sumeru or the Eremites themselves are the members of Adventurer’s Guild. Either way, it will be very interesting to know about whether these Eremites are good people as Nazafarin ‘shudders’ to think of them.
Genshin Impact Sumeru will also introduce the long awaited Dendro element as players will be able to use the playable Dendro characters.
