Genshin Impact sends double rewards

A new event named “Flowing Lights and Colors” has hit the servers of Genshin Impact which will provide free Intertwined Fates and other items to the players in daily-login rewards. However, what caught attention of the players was double rewards on the first day.

As a part of Lantern Rite Event 2022, MiHoYo is sending free rewards to the players such as the most coveted Intertwined Fates. If players logged in to the game today, they might have noticed something amiss. The in-game mail displayed two rewards in Flowing Lights and Colors Event. The developers admitted that this was accidentally sent, however, players seem to be benefitting from the rewards.

The Flowing Lights and Colors Event in the game will conclude the 2.4 update by sending free wishes, resins and recipes to the players. MiHoYo had officially revealed the rewards of these events after giving details regarding Lantern Rite 2022. However, unlike other event rewards which could be obtained from the events section, players need to collect the rewards of Flowing Lights and Colors through their in-game mail.

The event has already commenced in the game and will run for a total of five days. Therefore, players should remember to check their in-game mail daily and claim their rewards. The first reward has already been sent to the players but surprisingly, MiHoYo made a mistake and sent double rewards on the first day.

Players were set to get the following rewards on the first day of Genshin Impact Flowing Lights and Colors Event. The rewards have been mentioned below:

In-game mail
  • 1x Intertwined Fates
  • 5x Golden Crab
  • 6x Sanctifying Unction

Intertwined Fates can be used to pull on character banners whereas Golden Crab recipe increases the DEF by 261 of all party members and healing effects by 8% for 300s. On the other hand, Sanctifying Unction can be used to upgrade artifacts. These rewards were doubled due to an accident by the developers. An official statement has also been issued-

"Due to a configuration issue with the in-game mail, Travelers on some servers received two copies of the mail "Flowing Lights and Colors" - Lantern Rite Gifts (1/5)."

The double rewards have been sent to a few accounts as of now but the developers have informed that every player will be able to obtain the double rewards once version 2.4 comes to an end. However, those who have already received 2 rewards won’t be able to claim it back again.
