Travelers who have been to Liyue might be aware of the fact that only a fragment of Chasm region is available at the moment. Many characters have referred Chasm as the source of ores in the nation of Liyue, although mining work has been discontinued for a long time.

At the recently held, 2.5 livestream, MiHoYo revealed that rest of the portions in the Chasm region will be accessible to the players in version 2.6 which means Genshin Impact Chasm release date is on March 30,2022. This release date could differ if the developers do not follow the 42 day cycle of rolling out updates.

UBatcha had previously revealed that Chasm will be in the 2.6 version, however, the Dendro element will not be seen in the update. This has been more or less confirmed as the developers did not hint at the release of a new element anytime soon. Considering other sources, the Dendro element might release with Sumeru.

Apart from confirming the release, a concept art regarding a new monster named the Ruin Serpent was also revealed in the special program. Apparently, this serpent has been designed in the form of a mining machine which will be seen in a new location named The Surface: Chasm. Players waiting to explore the region will have to defeat this hostile monster.

As Genshin Impact Chasm release date has been confirmed, players can barely wait for the 2.6 update, as Kamisato Ayato, the 5-star Hydro character was also recently confirmed to become playable in the 2.6 version.
