Genshin Impact developer brings HoYoverse to cater to global audience
MiHoYo introduces HoYoverse
MiHoYo, the developer of the most popular role-playing game right now that is Genshin Impact has taken one step ahead to meet the demands of global audience and create more new and engaging content for their players.
A Shanghai based company founded in 2012, MiHoYo has come a long way by releasing a series of open world games such as Honkai Impact and massive hit Genshin Impact for PC as well mobile devices, a task that previously seemed impossible for an open world game. The role-playing games have procured splendid revenue over the recent year and continue to grow through the efforts brought by the developers.

Genshin Impact developers launches HoYoverse
HoYoverse is more than just a shfit towards a new brand, as mentioned in the official blog post by the developers. It aims to create a more vast virtual experience for its players who are currently witnessing the trend of Metaverse. Their new brand, HoYoverse is somewhat similar that brings the global audience together as it will include the existing projects as well.
“Our mission in establishing HoYoverse is to create a vast and content-driven virtual world that integrates games, anime, and other diverse types of entertainment, which will provide players with a high level of freedom and immersion,” said Haoyu Cai, co-founder and CEO of HoYoverse.
Apart from the successful gaming titles, HoYoverse brought by the brain behind Genshin Impact will also include the fileds from the company’s technical research such as the virtual character Lumi, N0va Desktop, anime as well as manga. This new brand will now be used for excursive projects like AI research and cross-media ideas.
“We will continue to focus on long-term operation strategies, consistent technical research, and innovation in a variety of fields, including artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and pipeline construction, to ensure that sufficient content is created to meet the expectations of players worldwide for a virtual world experience”, continued the CEO.
Players might have already noticed that MiHoYo’s official website of Genshin Impact is now changed to https://genshin.hoyoverse.com/en/home which earlier consisted of the name MiHoYo. The trailer of Genshin Impact 2.5 update also displayed HoYoverse initially.
As of now, HoYoverse plans to expand their operations, technical research and publishing duties in Montreal, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Singapore and Seoul. It will be intriguing to see what new content the company has in store for us.
