The 2.7 update of Genshin Impact is hanging on a loose thread as the whole community is now somehow getting convinced that the next update could get delayed. Reacting to these rumors, an internal source from the developers of the game has issued a response.

Genshin Impact pushes out updates to the game after an interval of 42 days. Each update has something new to offer to the players as new characters and and the map of Teyvat keeps on getting added to the game.

The game is currently running the 2.6 update named “Zephyr of the Violet Garden” that brought The Chasm and Kamisato Ayato. The current update will soon be hitting its second phase and players can get a chance to obtain Ayaka, the younger sister of the 5-star Hydro character, Ayato.

The characters for the next update have already been revealed and more importantly, Travelers have got to know the entire kit of Yelan and Kuki Shinobu, who are the upcoming new characters. For players unaware, the 2.7 update is rumored to get delayed.

The first clue of the next update getting delayed was taken from the event schedule of 2.6 update next phase where it was revealed that the Marvelous Merchandise event will run till 13th May, three days after the end of Ayaka’s banner. The Covid-19 situation in Shanghai has also left players to wonder about the delay.

Responding to the rumors, a Genshin Impact developer reported to Comicbook.com where it was stated, “We’ve also noticed some discussions among fans and players, and our team has been doing our best working on the game and future updates at this moment.”

While it is true that we have not been able to get an accurate response from the developer, this fact cannot be denied that HoYoverse has got an idea about the rumors circulating among the community.
