Genshin Impact official art teases Yaoyao
Yaoyao, one of the first characters speculated to hold the Dendro element had gone missing under the new series of updates but recently, Genshin Impact developers teased an official art of Qiqi and Yaoyao together that might indicate towards her release sooner than expected.
Initially it was believed that Sumeru might bring a majority of Dendro characters but to the player’s surprise, the 3.1 update doesn’t introduce a single character with the Dendro element.
Why YaoYao’s release in Genshin Impact might be sooner than you think?
Genshin Impact has a history of dropping teasers either through drip marketing or official arts. When the 2.6 update was extended, Heizou’s revelation broke the internet as players didn’t have any leaked model for the first male catalyst user of the game, likewise the official art of Qiqi and Yaoyao has raised eyebrows in the community.
The 3.1 update will make Cyno, Nilou and Candace playable but they belong to the Electro and Hydro element respectively. This might be surprising as the next Dendro character will be available only after the 3.2 update is released where it is rumored that the Dendro Archon will become a playable unit.
Apart from her, Al-Haitham might also belong to the green element considering his appearance and close acquaintance with Lesser Lord Kusanali, the Dendro Archon.

Initially characters like Baizhu and Yaoyao were considered to be Dendro units but Genshin Impact didn’t confirm anything of that sort during the Sumeru promotional video. However, the recent official art posted on Twitter shows Yaoyao and Qiqi together and the developers talking about Bubu Pharmacy in Liyue where Travelers met both Qiqi and Baizhu for the first time.
There are currently no leaks regarding the character that can confirm she is a Dendro character but it seems highly possible now that we might see her in Sumeru as a Dendro character in the future updates . Players should also wait for accurate leaks by the data miners that can confirm her being a Dendro unit.
