Nilou's kit leaked by data miners in Genshin Impact
Nilou is an upcoming 5-star Hydro character from Sumeru that got leaked when the beta program for the 3.0 update commenced. It was recently confirmed through the Genshin Impact leaks that the character is going to become playable in the 3.1 update as data related to her was found in the beta version.
Not only that, data miners have also provided the fans with some information on her kit so that F2P players can decide right from the ‘Summer Fantasia’ update whether they should pull for this new character or not.

Nilou’s kit partially revealed by Genshin Impact leaks
Sumeru is going to add a plethora of new characters. The initial Genshin Impact leaks on Sumeru had stated that close to 15 new characters will become playable from this nation. Some characters might also be dark-skinned in order to match with the desert theme of the region whereas others have kit that resemble the people belonging to the Mediterranean region.
One of those characters is Nilou who uses a small girl type model like Keqing, if players have noticed her elemental burst through her leaked gameplay, they will find out that the movement of her hands is similar to a Persian dance, which the developers might have added to provide a more realistic experience.
Now, some recent Genshin Impact leaks have given us some information on the character’s kit. Players should note her that she is a 5-star character who uses sword as her weapon. Therefore, her normal attacks will include consecutive slashes from her sword. Apart from that, these are the key highlights for her kit-
- Elemental Skill- 4 consecutive strikes followed by a ring of water that applies Hydro DMG, long cooldown time
- Elemental Burst- Hydro AoE DMG to the targeted enemies and enemies near it
Even though her leaked gameplay is quite blurred, players have got an idea how much area she is going to cover while providing Hydro DMG. Moreover, as Nilou has a long cooldown time, it is unlikely that she is going to be an on field DPS character. Players can get the best out of this character if they carry a Cryo DPS unit with them like Ganyu or Ayaka.
Genshin Impact leaks have also stated that as players will strengthen Nilou’s talents, the damage dealt by her during the Hydro and Dendro reactions will increase. In addition to that, she will be able to buff the damage dealt by her party members during Bloom reactions.
Nilou is going to be available in the later half of the 3.1 update and there have been rumors that she might get her own Hydro support Candace who is a 4-star character due to be released in the same patch.
