Genshin Impact leaks have revealed that Scaramouche will be an Anemo catalyst user whose rarity is expected to be 5-star at this moment. This contradicts to the previous beliefs and theories constructed by different leakers and fans who considered Scaramouche to hold the Electro vision due to his appearance and him being a puppet of Raiden Shogun.

The Balladeer being an Anemo user brings an altogether different Genshin Impact lore which might have taken inspiration from Fujin and Rajin, who were the gods of wind (Anemo) and thunder (Electro) in Japanese mythology considering that Scaramouche is an Anemo user and Raiden Shogun, an Electro user.

Other Genshin Impact leaks have indicated that Scaramouche’s banner will bring another Anemo 4-star character named Faruzan and just like Heizou, Scaramouche is expected to be a melee catalyst user. Since he had cut off all the ties with the Fatui, he will appear as a different character to the Traveler and introduce himself as the ‘wanderer’.
