Sumeru upcoming characters in Genshin Impact
The countdown for Sumeru has already started and fans can barely wait to be able to become a Sumeru Traveler. However, there have been rumors of the next updates being more interesting as seen in the Genshin Impact upcoming patch leaks. Data miners have been able to provide us with a release roadmap for characters that are soon going to become playable arousing interest among fans to know about the content that has been prepared for the updates releasing after version 3.0.
The beta test for the 3.1 update is underway. As a consequence, new information such as upcoming characters, and game modes are getting revealed eventually piquing interest among the players. Unveiling a set of new information, a prominent leaker was able to provide release dates to the characters who are going to be playable Sumeru characters.

Genshin Impact upcoming patch leaks provide a release roadmap for new characters
HoYoverse had shortened the new updates allowing a more staggered release and bringing the 3.1 update right on the 2nd anniversary date i.e. on September 28th. The 3.1 update clashing with the new update could mean that the patch can bring a lot of exciting content that could be even better than what we are getting on the initial Sumeru update.
3.1 update
As seen from the Genshin Impact upcoming patch leaks, it is known at this moment that the 3.1 update will make Cyno, Nilou and Candace, playable characters. The first two characters have already been showcased officially in the Sumeru promotional video and teasers but right now, it does not confirm that they will become playable in the 3.1 update or not.
Cyno, the only Sumeru character shown in Teyvat Storyline preview is said to be the second Electro male user in the game after Razor. As for Nilou and Candace, the respective 5-star and 4-star characters could be sharing the Hydro vision together. While Nilou has been revealed officially, players only have a leaked model for Candace who is apparently a close friend of Dehya, an upcoming 5-star Pyro user.
Some in game data files also hint on the appearance of Dottore, one of the Fatui Harbinger. Dottore or ‘The Doctor’ has some sort of connection with Collei as the manga describes Collei being a subject of experiments before she came to Sumeru along with Cyno. Players can certainly expect some more details on the Harbingers of Snezhnaya once Dottore appears in one of the cutscenes.

3.2 update
The 3.2 update will make Lesser Lord Kusanali or Nahida as a playable character if we consider the Genshin Impact upcoming patch leaks as true. The developers are yet to reveal Nahida as the Dendro Archon, but players have got a general idea regarding that.
Along with Nahida, an unknown character named ‘Layla’ who could appear in the voice lines of some characters in the 3.0 update also has a speculated release during this time.
3.3 update
Last but not the least, there have been multiple leaks that indicate that the long-awaited character Scaramouche will finally become playable in the 3.3 update after players meet his boss form which is scheduled to release in the 3.2 update. Along with Scaramouche, an Anemo 4-star character named ‘Faruzan’ can also become playable.
Players should note that these Genshin Impact upcoming patch leaks are a mixture of speculations and information given by Reddit and Twitter users, therefore, we suggest not to trust them blindly at this moment.
