In a surprising development, the change that was made to the Battle Pass EXP points in the Genshin Impact 2.7 update has been reverted back to the default amount. The change made in the beta version further solidifies the fact that the next update will be released on the scheduled date.

Players have been undergoing numerous doubts regarding the release of the next update which is bringing Yelan and Kuki Shinobu to the character roster. The release of the 2.7 update is hanging on a loose thread as nothing can be confirmed at this point of time. However, a recent change compelled players to think again.

A lot of new content is brewing for the Travelers in the upcoming patch of the game where the primary attraction is the release of two new characters. Players can barely keep calm to obtain Yelan who promises to be a 5-star Hydro DPS character and Kuki Shinobu who is a first of its kind Electro healer.

HoYoverse had already revealed these characters for their 2.7 patch, however, there have been rampant discussions going around regarding the postponement of 2.7 update. The roots of these rumors goes back to the introduction of Marvelous Merchandise Event which apparently ends on 13th May, three days after the end of Ayaka’s rerun banner.

On the other hand, players can also not overlook the subtle hints provided by the Genshin Impact developers that the next update will release on its scheduled date i.e. on May 11th. As previously reported by Kotaku, who reached out to the developers and got a positive reply that gaming has not been much affected by the strict Covid-19 lockdown in Shanghai.

Another leak reveals that the Battle Pass changes that were done in the beta update reducing the EXP to 600 from 1000 has been taken back. Several players believed that the Battle Pass EXP which is required to level up in Battle Pass for each level had been reduced because the 2.7 update will be shortened.

As this change has been changed back to the original 1000 EXP required to level up and obtain rewards in Genshin Impact BP, players have got a silver lining that the next update will be released on time.
