Genshin Impact 2.5 update is knocking the doors of the Travelers and Yae Miko also waits to become a playable character in the game soon. With the special program concluding a few days ago, players might have got a rough idea regarding the upcoming events, trial run characters that will shower them with F2P primogems.
Calculating primogems before every update rolls out is a necessary task for the players as they need to shell out the hard earned currency for pulling characters and weapons in different banners. As MiHoYo provides less opportunities of claiming free primogems in the game, players can look for other ways in the game to earn the currency for free. Here is the total primogem calculation in Genshin Impact 2.5 update.

Genshin Impact 2.5 update primogem calculation
As revealed in the special program, a new character named Yae Miko and rerun banners of Raiden and Kokomi will be available in the game from February 16,2022. Apart from that, the developers also confirmed making Ayato a playable character in the 2.6 update. For farming F2P primogems, players should look at the methods below.
Maintenance Schedule & Bug fix
Players will get a total of 600 primogems after they successfully download the new update as MiHoYo sends out 300 pimogems each to the in-game mail of the players as a compensation for the maintenance schedule. Apart from that, primogems will be given for the miscellaneous bug fixes.
Daily Commissions
A total of 2520 primogems can be obtained if players complete all of the daily commissions that will be given in the Genshin Impact 2.5 update. Travelers should also remember to collect the rewards from Katheryn. In addition to that, players having Welkin subscription will be obtaining 90 primogems daily.
Character Test Run
With each update, the developers provide the players with a chance to try the new as well as the rerun characters released in the game. As there will be three new releases comprising of Yae Miko, Raiden Shougun and Kokomi, players will be able to claim 60 primogems in total.
Story Quests
Story Quests are based on the playable characters where the Traveler can interact with the character to know the details regarding the character’s story. Genshin Impact 2.5 update will bring the Story Quest of Yae Miko and Raiden Shougun/Kokomi which will give a total of 120 primogems.
Events
The special program announced that 4 events will be released in the game. The core attraction of the update is The Three Realms Gateway Offering that will provide 780 primogems and a free 4 star weapon named Oathsworn Eye. In addition to that, three other events will provide 420 primogems each.
Spiral Abyss
One of the most challenging aspect of the game, Spiral Abyss will give 1800 primogems to the players. Players need to defeat the Abyss Mages by adjusting the buffs of their characters when different phases of the domain are unlocked in the game.
HoYo Lab Daily Check-In
Most of the players might have forgot about this feature where players need to sign in daily for at least three weeks to obtain primogems and other rewards. Checking in daily will provide the players with 80 primogems.
Web Events
Amidst the current update of the game, the developers had brought different web events for the players where Travelers can engage in fun activities such as making greeting cards or collecting the event materials. Considering two web events, players can get around 120 primogems.
Version 2.6 livestream codes
The livestream of 2.6 update is expected to be held in early May. Players can expect to get the details regarding Kamisato Ayato and other rerun characters. Apart from that, 3 promo codes will help the players to get 300 primogems after redemption.
This takes the total primogem calculation to 7560 for F2P players. They can also get 10 Intertwined and Acquaint Fates once the shop is reset. For P2W players, 12020 primogems are expected along with 14 Intertwined Fates.
