Cinnabar Cliff

While Monstadt and Liyue in Teyvat were unlocked automatically as players completed the different Archon Quests, players had to take part in an exclusive quest for entering Inazuma, the Electro nation. This led players to believe that there might be a similar quest that needs to be completed in order to get to Sumeru in Genshin Impact.

First things first, it is important to know where Sumeru is actually located in Teyvat. As described by the developers, it is a nation located to the west of Liyue and quite close to The Chasm which implies that players should have explored the area opened in 2.6 update, if they wish to enter Sumeru.

If The Chasm has not been completely explored by the Travelers, they need to make their way to the Cinnabar Cliff which consists of the nearest Teleport Waypoint to Sumeru in Genshin Impact. After arriving at the Cinnabar Cliff, players will be able to see a mining area at the front which has now been opened as it is going to serve as a gateway to the Dendro nation. Here is how players can enter this area-

  • Navigate to the front and start walking to the distance of the nearest Statue of Seven
  • Players will witness a transition of mining area and Sumeru’s natural vegetation

As Travelers cross this area, they can finally take a look at the newly prepared nation by the developers. It should also be made sure that the Statue of Seven is unlocked, so that Sumeru in Genshin Impact can be unlocked. For the 3.0 update, the following areas will be available to the players-
