Genshin Impact 2.7 delayed
The uncertainty over the release date of Genshin Impact 2.7 update has been removed today as the developers have confirmed that the next patch will be delayed as many changes are left to be done in the upcoming content. One of the main reason for the delay could be the dreadful Covid-19 situation prevailing in China.
Travelers of Genshin Impact have spent the recent weeks facing a dilemma over the release of the next update. While it was previously speculated that the patch will be delayed, another reputable site revealed that 2.7 update could arrive on time. The confusion has finally been cleared today.

Genshin Impact 2.7 update delayed officially
The promo art as well as the trailer of Genshin Impact 2.7 update was leaked by data miners who have previously provided the players with accurate information. This led to the players believing that the next update will arrive on its scheduled date i.e. May 11th, a day after Ayaka rerun banner is concluded.
HoYoverse took to the social media handles of Genshin Impact to declare that the update will be postponed due to project progress. An exact date for the arrival of the next patch wasn’t provided as it was stated that the detailed information and content adjustment for the new update will be announced later.
The official announcement comes hours after fans spotted on Genshin Impact Facebook page that the developers replied in the comments of a recently released web event that special program for the next update has been postponed. This postponement implied that the update will also be delayed. Players have also deduced that the project progress perhaps refers to the developers not being able to finish the content due to the strict lockdown in Shanghai, China.
When will the update arrive?
As of today, the Genshin Impact 2.7 update became the first patch to be delayed in the history of the role playing game. A prominent Genshin Impact leaker revealed that the update could arrive after 3 weeks but it is important to note that the developers have not mentioned anything of that sort.
The Genshin Impact 2.7 update delay could also mean that players will not be able to access the Serenitea Pot. As HoYoverse provides compensation for delay of maintenance or bug fix, Travelers are hopeful that they will be compensated with primogems once the new update arrives.
