Is Genshin Impact coming to Nintendo Switch soon?
The official Genshin Impact YouTube account posted a trailer for the popular game, which will be released in early 2020 for the Nintendo Switch, although no release date has been announced.
Genshin Impact is currently one of the most popular video games in the world, so it’s only reasonable that it’d be available on numerous platforms. It’s currently available on the following platforms:
- Android
- iOS
- PS4
- PS5
- Windows
Since the YouTube video, nearly two years have passed with no updates on the port’s progress. Fans can only presume that it will be accessible on the Nintendo Switch at some point unless miHoYo makes an official announcement on the subject.
Genshin Impact for the Nintendo Switch has yet to receive an official release date from miHoYo. The port was expected to be completed in late 2021, but the corporation has not disclosed any fresh information since confirming the port last year.

Why will the Nintendo Switch be an important console for Genshin Impact?
The Nintendo Switch appears to be the ideal platform for Genshin Impact. The anime-style blends in well with other well-known games, and the console’s portability is ideal for a game that demands you to play it every day. After all, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Genshin Impact’s primary inspiration, was a tremendous smash for the Switch.
Genshin Impact for Switch is expected to be released sometime in mid-2022. The port has been under development for over a year by miHoYo developers. Regardless, the lack of updates indicates that there is still time. Expect to hear more about Genshin Impact’s Switch release date in the coming months.
On this channel, miHoYo will subsequently release a slew of more videos. One of the later dates is September 28, 2020, when the game will be released on the PS4. That release date was, as fans would later discover, correct.
When Genshin Impact is released for Nintendo Switch, it is possible that some adjustments will be made. The graphics settings will see the most changes. Although the Switch is far more powerful than most mobile devices, it lacks the capability of a PlayStation or a home computer. Players will still be able to enjoy the world of Teyvat in high definition if the reported 4K Switch turns out to be true.
