Travelers of Teyvat are inching closer towards the new update and the release of the 5 star Electro character Yae Miko as MiHoYo has announced Genshin Impact 2.5 livestream date. The special program is going to take place this Friday, players can hope to receive redeem codes and details about the upcoming content.
New updates for Genshin Impact are released in an interval of almost 42 days with new characters and unlocking of previously inaccessible areas. The current update that brought back the Lantern Rite Event is going to be concluded within a few days and after much speculations, players can know the official Genshin Impact 2.5 livestream date.

MiHoYo announced the schedule of the Special Program in their official Twitter handle today. The program is anticipated by every player since they have been ardently waiting to know the details of the new update, character banner schedule and more.
Genshin Impact 2.5 livestream is scheduled to air on 4th February in the official Twitch and YouTube channel of Genshin Impact. The program will air at a different time for different time zones:
- Eastern Standard Time- 7:00 AM
- Chinese Standard Time- 8:00 PM
- Pacific Standard Time- 4:00 AM
- British Standard Time- 1:00 PM
- Central Time- 6:00 AM
- Indian Standard Time- 5:30 PM
Genshin Impact 2.5 livestream will be 1 and a half hours long since the special program will conclude with a Genshin Impact concert. Since MiHoYo reveals special codes that grant primogems, players should not miss the program on February 4th.
What can be expected from Genshin Impact 2.5 livestream?
Fans are having a lot of expectations from MiHoYo to reveal details regarding the character banners of the upcoming update. The banner of Yae Miko was confirmed previously by the developers and leaks suggested that the Yae Miko’s character banner will not be released along with another 5 star character banner.
It can also be expected that Raiden Shougun might feature in the second phase since she is acquainted with Yae Miko. Being an Electro character herself, fans would certainly wish to pull for her as she is one of the strongest DPS character in the game. The banner of Kokomi still remains questionable.
The addition of anti-shield monsters is also expected in the new update since 2.5 leaks heavily indicated that players might have a hard time defeating the Shadowy Husks. Genshin Impact 2.5 update is expected to release on February 16th,2022.
