Genshin Impact 2.5 update is going to bring a brand new catalyst weapon which is set to be the signature weapon for upcoming Electro character, Yae Miko. Many players are considering to pull for Kagura’s Verity in the game, but should you really spend your primogems on the catalyst weapon?
Genshin Impact players are very picky when it comes to pulling for characters and different weapons and shelling out their hard-earned primogems on the banners. However, they sometimes regret their decision of pulling for certain weapons and characters as the stats are not seen in the gameplay which was promised in the banner. Kagura’s Verity, the unique catalyst looks quite powerful, but will it really benefit the players? Let us know without further ado.

Mtashed alerts players for Yae Miko’s new weapon in Genshin Impact
Players will be able to see two new catalyst weapons in the 2.5 update of the game. While the signature weapon of Yae Miko can be found in the weapon banner “Epitome of Invocation”, players can obtain the 4-star Catalyst weapon, Oathsworn Eye for free once they successfully complete the Three Realms Gateway Offering event.
The stats for this new weapon have also been revealed which looks quite powerful as a catalyst. Here are the stats of the upcoming 5-star weapon
- Base Attack (Level 90): 608
- Secondary stat: CRIT DMG
- CRIT DMG at Level 90: 66.2%
- Passive Skill (Kagura Dance of the Sacred Sakura): Elemental skill damage increases by 12% for 16 seconds. Additional Elemental DMG bonus would be provided after 3 stacks
However, popular Genshin Impact streamer, MTashed holds a different opinion regarding the weapon. He believes that this weapon is quite expensive compared to its stats, it also won’t work perfectly with other characters except for Yae Miko, “If you only got one elemental skill you can use, such as a character like Barbara who has one use and high cooldown, she would NEVER be able to get enough value out of this weapon to make it worth.”
Since most of the characters have their own cooldown for elemental skills, the weapon’s stat revealing DMG bonus on elemental skill wouldn’t really be beneficial for the players. Kagura’s Verity will only work effectively with Yae Miko since her elemental skill plants 3 Sesshou Sakuras that provide constant Electro DMG, helping to provide the Elemental skill bonus.
MTashed has also mentioned that even though Kagura’s Verity looks great for Yae Miko in Genshin Impact, it can only provide the desired amount of damage in the current state of the character. When the character scales with constellations, this weapon might not be that much effective for her, therefore, using some other catalysts like Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers.
MTashed has been very expressive when it comes to suggesting the players about pulling for upcoming characters and weapons. Nevertheless, he also clarified that it is upto the players whether they wish to obtain the Kagura’s Verity in Genshin Impact.
