Players can soon get their hands on the Tighnari and Zhongli banner in Genshin Impact and start shelling out primogems on any one of the banner to summon the 5-star characters or obtain the other 4-stars to unlock different characters in the character archive.

After making an official post on the 3.0 update overview, the developers also formally introduced the details of Tighnari and Zhongli banner in Genshin Impact which are the two character event wishes for the first phase of 3.0 update.

The primary reason for grinding primogems in the game is to spend them on specific banners so that the 5-star characters can be added to the Traveler’s party. Players were ardently waiting to claim the first Dendro user in the game as it will help them to break the existing meta and experiment with their existing roster.

As the content of the 3.0 update will be available in the game from 24th August, Tighnari and Zhongli banner in Genshin Impact will replace the existing banner of Yoimiya in the game. HoYoverse had stated that they are going to start the update maintenance from 6:00 (UTC+8) and take 5 hours to upload the content.

That hints at the banner being available from 11:00, although the release time could differ due to the variation in time zones. As per the official announcement, the following 4-star characters will be available in the character event wishes-

  • Collei (Dendro)
  • Diona (Hydro)
  • Fischl (Electro)

The first banner consisting of Tighnari surprisingly comprises of bow characters only. While Collei is a new addition, being the first female Dendro user in the game, Diona and Fischl have been a part of this game for a long time. These characters will also help to buff the DMG of the new element Dendro as Electro and Hydro work efficiently with this new element.

Zhongli, the Geo Archon of the game is the only polearm user in this banner but he might not be suitable in a team which consists the Dendro element. Nevertheless, Zhongli remains one of the strongest DPS unit in the game who makes the game quite easy with his large Geo AoE DMG as well as the useful pillars through his elemental DMG.

Players should note that as the 3.0 update is cut shorted by a week, the Tighnari and Zhongli banner in Genshin Impact will be available till the 9th of September 6:00 AM. After which, Ganyu and Kokomi’s banner will be introduced to the version.
