The character banner of Yelan in Genshin Impact will soon be making its way in the game along with Xiao’s banner. The 4-star characters were also revealed through leaks but the developers are yet to make an official announcement.
As Yelan is the second Hydro bow user of the game, many players are considering on pulling for her banner. Yelan’s personality, her battle skills has left a huge impact upon the fans, compelling them to pull for her. If they have already saved the primogems, they should look out on the materials that are required to increase her character EXP.

Yelan is a Liyue character who with her Hydro bow combination can easily become a broken DPS character. Fortunately, the key materials required to ascend the character are already available in the 2.6 update. Therefore, players should collect the required amount of materials for Yelan in Genshin Impact.
Runic Fang
Required: 46
This character ascension material was introduced in the 2.6 update when a new boss named ‘Ruin Serpent’ was introduced in The Chasm. Players can find this item after defeating the boss that resides deep in the underground mines of The Chasm. It is better to use a shield character while fighting the Ruin Serpent as it is a quite formidable enemy.
Varunada Lazurite
Required: 1 Sliver, 9 Fragments, 9 Chunks, 6 Gemstones
The key character ascension material required to build Yelan in Genshin Impact is Varunada Lazurite as she’s a Hydro character. For this bow character, players have to fight a variety of Hydro bosses as she needs fragments as well as gemstones. Compared to all of the items, the Gemstone is the rarest one that requires the expensive Dust of Azoth.

This ascension material can be found quite easily compared to the other items. Players won’t be required to fight off any bosses as they are found near the sea shores of Liyue. However, players have to be alert as some hilichurls or Hydro slimes might appear out of nowhere, when players are farming for the character.
Recruit’s/ Sergeant’s/ Lieutenant’s Insignia
Required: 18 Recruit, 30 Sergeant, 36 Lieutenant
The Insignia materials are required for both character ascension as well as talent level up of Yelan in Genshin Impact. These items are dropped by Fatui Skirmishers of different levels. These human shaped enemies are mainly found around Inazuma or Liyue. The rarity of these materials depends upon the level of the enemies.
Gilded Scales
Required: 6
Another rare item required for Yelan in Genshin Impact are Gilded Scales. Even though the amount is minimal, Gilded Scales are quite rare. Players can only find it through the Geo boss Azdaha but it is important to note that the material is not a guaranteed drop. As a result, players should keep some Dream Solvents to be mixed with other Azdaha items to obtain Gilded Scales.
