With Genshin Impact’s Sumeru on the brink of arrival, many new world mechanics, characters, Dendro characters, side quests, Archon quests and events are following its way to Tevyat. And, you need to buckle up for this next big update 3.0 and for that there are definitely couple of things you should consider doing first.
Currently in Genshin Impact, travelers cannot presently travel to Sumeru, but they can pre-farm specific resources, food and ores to make things smoother and hassle free when the land of Dendro arrives. Everything matters, from Mora to Primogems, so productive gamers should make the most of the time they possess right now.

Top 5 Must Do’s before Sumeru Arrives
5. Farm Ores
If you like to farm, you need to make sure to grab those white iron chunks and crystal chunks too. The upcoming Sumeru update will bring in some amazing new 4 star weapons (some of them can be claimed for free) along with 5 star weapons too! so keeping yourself ahead by filling up your inventory with all the essential ores.
4. Complete “The Chasm” Quests
In case you are saving up your archon quests for later, then please don’t. The next archon quest (Kusanali) will only commence once you have completed your previous region Archon Quest which in this case is; The Chasm. Make sure to complete the side quests too as there will be many new side quests in Sumeru as well.
3. Build Incomplete Characters
Please work on upgrading your dormant characters if you have any. Especially if any of those rare 5 stars are lying around in your roster with level 1 artifacts and bizarre CR to CD ratio, do upgrade them as Sumeru is promising an entire new element i.e. Dendro. And, with this new element you will get your hands full with new characters like Tighnari, Collei, Candace, Dori, Alhaitham, Nilou, and many more.

2. Save Artifacts and Farm More
Artifacts are always the key to improve any given character. Without artifacts, all your dps, sub-dps, support and healers are toast! So, farm those domains and use your daily resins to complete your artifact sets. And try not to dissolve essential 5 star artifacts as we still don’t know what the next characters might need.
1. Farm Hero’s Wit and Mora
Farming those purple books are essential, especially if you are planning to pull any new character. Make sure to stock up on mora as well and complete your daily commissions for earning those freemo-gems as it is never more to have an ample of primogems at your service while wishing on your favorite banner!
