Players are not happy with Yae Miko in Genshin Impact

Yae Miko in Genshin Impact was released as the first character banner in the 2.5 update along with Fischl, Diona, and Thoma. The Electro Catalyst user’s release was anticipated by a lot of fans, however, some players are now feeling that the 5-star character did not live up to the expectations.

Yae Miko in Genshin Impact was released along with her signature weapon called the Kagura’s Verity which has received a huge drop rate boost in the weapon banner. She is the Priestess of the Grand Narukami Shrine and also the overseer of the Yae Publishing House. Players kept high hopes for her as she was buffed several times before her release, however, when some players managed to pull for her, they found that she is actually not that much powerful.

5 reasons Yae Miko in Genshin Impact was not worth it

A lot of Twitteratis and YouTubers have been expressing their opinions about how Yae Miko is not worth pulling for. The character created a lot of hype in the community before her release but now players earnestly wish the developers to buff the character. Here are some of the reasons brought forward by the players.

Clunky Kit

Elemental Skill

Many players believe that Yae Miko’s kit is quite old fashioned. Her auto attacks do not provide the required amount of damage and as a result, she is not that much fun to play. In addition to that, Yae Miko’s auto attacks cover a very short range which make it frustrating in front of strong enemies.

Too much on-field time

Yae Miko in Genshin Impact takes up a lot of time compared to other sub DPS characters. She takes up quite a bit of time when she unleashes her Elemental skill or Burst which also holds a risk of getting knocked out in front of strong enemies. Most of the Sub DPS characters use their powers within a couple of seconds but with Yae Miko, it’s different.

High Burst cost

Yae Miko’s elemental burst summons lightning from the sky and also charges up neaerby Sesshou Sakuras to deal more Electro DMG. While it can undoubtedly be said that it gives quite a lot of damage but her energy cost while using the elemental burst goes up to 80 which is very high compared to other characters.

Lack of best artifacts

Artifacts are a crucial thing to increase one’s damage potential or energy regeneration in the game. However, Yae Miko in Genshin impact does not have a proper artifact set currently. Considering Yae Miko’s kit, the Electro character probably needs a 5-star artifact set of Gambler’s Brooch or Thundering Fury.

Restrictive and Expensive teams

Yae Miko in Genshin Impact does not have many options to make a perfect team. While she is considered perfect with Raiden Shougun, her team will turn out to be quite expensive. Even though players have the option of building a F2P team, it will certainly not bring out the desired results.
