The leaked promotional art of the Genshin Impact 2.8 update has resulted into several speculations, theories regarding the character banners. The 2.8 update seems to be filled with rerun characters with only one new character, Shikanoin Heizou becoming playable with 4-star rarity.
In several instances, Traveler seem to be more excited for the rerun characters rather than the new characters. This was true in case of Shenhe who got a rerun where Zhongli, Ganyu and Xiao were having a rerun.

Genshin Impact 2.8 update rerun characters
Shikanoin Heizou will be the last Inazuman character in the 2.8 update. Although leaker Lumie has confirmed has confirmed him to be in the first phase banner, it is currently unknown on which rerun character’s banner he will be seen.
Kazuha
The rerun of Kaedehara Kazuha is one of the most anticipated thing in the community after Sumeru. The 5-star Anemo character is yet to get its first rerun banner even though his release has been more than a year now. Fortunately, there are several indications on Kazuha’s rerun banner.
The very first thing to consider is Kazuha’s story quest where players will be offered with a new 4-star sword. This sword will apparently gain its name after players obtain it from the quest. Moreover, it is considered to be the signature weapon for the Anemo character. Kazuha is also going to be an important character for the upcoming ‘Summertime Odyssey’ Event.
Genshin Impact leaks revealing Spiral Abyss buffs stated that Swirl reaction will decrease the amount of enemy’s defense. Players can clearly see that keeping aside the leaks, the Spiral Abyss buffs, main event of the 2.8 update and the signature weapon all are suggestive of Kazuha’s rerun.
Yoimiya
Genshin Impact leaker Uncle Y has recently confirmed the rerun of Yoimiya. She is a 5-star pyro character who became playable on August 2021. As she is yet to get her rerun, players were highly expecting this Pyro character to return to the Character Event Wishes. With the confirmation, players lacking a DPS Pyro character should start saving primogems.
Yoimiya is a master of Normal Attacks during combat and is extremely agile in the field. As a result, players won’t regret adding the character in their team. They can also pair her up with Yelan to make a good vaporize team.
