What are the upcoming new weapons in Genshin Impact 2.7 update?

The pre-installation package of Genshin Impact 2.7 update became available few days ago, allowing players to download some part of the resources for the new patch. Apart from that, the developers have been dropping announcements regarding the new weapons, characters and events that are going to be a permanent addition of the game from now on.

Judging from the special program and leaks for the new update, the ‘Hidden Dreams in the Depths’ update looks quite interesting because not only two new characters but two new weapons will also be added to the game.

Genshin Impact 2.7 update new weapons

HoYoverse has already provided the Travelers with a sneak peek of the 2.7 update’s first phase. The main event for the new patch and Arataki Itto’s event will be the major events for the first phase. The 4-star characters of Yelan and Xiao’s banner have also been confirmed to be Noelle, Yanfei and Barbara.

Apart from the upcoming characters, Yelan and Kuki Shinobu, players will be able to see two new weapons- Aqua Simulacra and Fading Twilight. Both of these bows are going to be extremely helpful for the Hydro character Yelan as the former weapon has already been regarded as her signature weapon.

Aqua Simulacra

This 5-star bow is going to be available in the Epitome Invocation banner which resets on 31st May. This bow focuses on CRIT DMG and is a must pull for the Hydro character Yelan if players are planning to make her a DPS character. The stats of this weapon were revealed officially-

• Base ATK: 542
• Secondary Stats: CRIT DMG- 88.2%

The above mentioned stats are shown for the maximum level of this weapon and first Refinement rank in Genshin Impact 2.7 update. The passive abilities of this weapon ‘The Cleansing Form’ allows the active character to increase its HP by 16%. When there are opponents nearby, the damage dealt by the wielder of this weapon increases by 20%. The primary ascension materials of this weapon are as follows-

• Luminous Sands from Guyun
• Gloomy Statuette
• Spectral Husk

Fading Twilight

This bow has a 4-star rarity that can be obtained for free in Genshin Impact 2.7 update. This event exclusive weapon can be obtained from the Perilous Trail event after challenging certain ‘Realms of Guide and War’. The stats of this weapon at Level 90 and Refinement Rank 1 are-

• Base ATK: 565
• Secondary Stats: Energy Recharge- 30.6%

The passive skill of this weapon allows it to go through different stages- Evengleam, Afterglow and Dawnblaze that deals 6%/10%/14% damage respectively to the opponents. As the active character will hit the opponents, the weapon will enter different stages after every 7 seconds. The ascension materials for this weapon are-

• Grain of Aerosederite
• Hunter’s Sacrificial Knife
• Divining Scroll

Both of these weapons look quite good for bow characters. If players are planning to make a DPS bow character, then Aqua Simulacra should be the first priority. Fading Twilight should be the choice for the characters who drain energy easily.
