Rockstar games confirms ‘a new entry in the series’ is under development

Rockstar games made an announcement related to GTA

GTA V was released by Rockstar games in 2013 and ever since then we’ve yet to have another GTA game. It seems that GTA 6 or even a spin-off game was something that seemed impossible. There were rumors about GTA VI here and there but there was nothing concrete. But now, 9 years after GTA V was released we finally have an official announcement regarding a new addition being made to the GTA series which fans have have been anxiously waiting for.

What has Rockstar games said?

It wasn’t the first time that the idea of GTA VI had crossed fans’ minds. Many dedicated fans had been asking Rockstar about the next series in the franchise and there have been leaks and speculations about the next entry of the series and its release date. Finally Rockstar has given us an official announcement that there is another entry in the series that is being released soon. Whether this is GTA VI or a spin-off is yet to be revealed.

What do we know about the next GTA game?

Most of what is known are rumours but one thing is for sure, the next GTA game will definitely have an online mode because it has been so successful in GTA V that Rockstar games are bound to introduce it. The rumors suggest that the next GTA game will have the largest map in the GTA series some even claiming that it’ll be a combination of all the maps in previous GTA series.

Even if the map isn’t a combination of all the previous ones, fans can expect it to be much larger than the GTA V map. We can speculate this by looking at another product from Rockstar games, Red dead redemption 2 which has a map that is almost twice the size of GTA V’s. For now we can only wait for Rockstar games to give more information.
