Hogwarts Legacy: How to complete ‘Dissending’ for sweets side quest

Hogwarts Legacy features a slew of exciting features and quests which are very fun to explore. Players can interact with multiple NPCs throughout their journey in the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. You will get to know about their personalities and will give you some of the interesting side quests available in Hogwarts Legacy. You will meet Garreth Weasley while exploring Hogwarts Castle. It won’t be a head-scratcher to think what house he belongs to, Gryffindor obviously, like most of the Weasleys. Players can find Garreth in Hogwarts’ Great Hall and speak with him there.

When you interact with him, during the cutscene, Garreth states that he wants to brew a beverage that is inspired by the Fizzing Whizzbees and that he needs the unique ingredient Billywig Stings to do so. Garreth will tell you that Billywig Stings are present in Honeydukes’ cellar. After that, he also tells you the secret passage to get there without breaking through the main gate of HoneyDukes. Players must finish their first Potions lesson with Professor Sharp in order to start this side quest.

You need to head to Grand Staircase in Hogwarts Castle. There, you’ll find the one-eyed witch statue. You need to interact with this statue. Your character will say the passcode “Dissendium” to enter the secret passage. After entering the secret passage move forward until you see a broken elevator. You need to fix this elevator with the help of the Reparo spell. After repairing the lift, get on it and go down a level. Exit the elevator, and continue to move forward. You have to use the Incendio spell to get rid of all the cobwebs in your path. As you move forward, you will see a broken platform. Use the Levioso spell to raise the platform and climb onto it to continue. Later you will encounter another broken platform. However, this time you need to use the Reparo spell first and Levioso later to raise it up.

After traveling some distance, you will see the third broken platform. This time, first you need to use Reparo to fix the platform and then cast Accio to pull up the metal platform brace into the right position. After placing the metal platform brace in its correct position, use Levioso to pull up the platform.

You will then come to a door that is locked and has two little pedestals next to it. Stand on the mechanism in the center and cast the Incedio spell on the pedestals. Doing this unlocks the door. You will see an area with loot and a ladder. Climb this ladder to go to Honeydukes’ cellar. You can find BillyWig Stings on a table there. You can also use Revelio if you want to. After collecting BillyWig Stings, go back to Garreth to finish the side quest.

For completing the ‘Dissending’ for sweets side quest in Hogwarts Legacy, you will receive the Quidditch Board recipe for Room of Requirement, a few galleons, and 180XP.
