Hogwarts Legacy: How to complete the Follow the Butterflies quest?

Hogwarts Legacy features a lot of side quests in addition to the main storyline of the game. The side quests are optional, and players who just want to rush through the main story usually skip these side quests. However, hardcore fans who want to enjoy the game to its fullest don’t leave these side quests. These side quests offer different rewards and perks that are beneficial to the main quest. So completing side quests along with progressing in the main quest helps you complete the story easily in Hogwarts Legacy.

Follow the Butterflies is one such side quest. You have to progress to a certain point in the main quest in order to unlock this quest. Although the quest initially appears to be a simple diversion, you will get to learn crucial game mechanics by completing the quest.

You have to finish the Potions class in the main quest first before you approach the Follow the Butterflies side quest. To start this side quest, you need to go to The Three Broomstick, where you will Miss Clementine Willardsey. She will urge you to follow the butterflies into the Forbidden Forest. To begin, first travel to the Forbidden Forest Floo marker, then walk north. Soon after, a swarm of vibrant butterflies will appear. There will be a butterfly marker on the map. You have moved in the direction indicated by the butterflies. They’ll take you to a hidden Chest. You have to open it to retrieve the items inside it. There are however 15 chests in the wild but you just need to take items from one chest. Now after retrieving the items head back to Hogsmeade to meet Miss Clementine Willardsey. Your character will talk to her and that will be the end of Follow the Butterflies side quest.

Players will get the Flower Box collections and 180 XP for completing the quest. in addition to that, players will gain access to extra tasks where they can follow swarms of butterflies to different areas of treasure after completing the basic Follow the Butterflies quest. The loot is always an unlearned Conjuration Spellcraft that the player can employ to brighten up the Room of Requirement.
