PUBG Mobile slips down to 2nd position

After a considerable period of time, PUBG Mobile failed to claim its top position in terms of overall revenue generation in a month as it was surpassed by another game, Honor of Kings which apparently is another creation of Tencent.

Even though the battle-royale game has an upper hand in terms of popularity and reigned at the top of revenue charts, be it monthly or overall lifetime revenue generation, Honor of Kings was able to claim back the topmost position, thanks to the frequent additions of in-game items. The success of this game is truly commendable as it hit the $10 billion revenue mark few months ago.

PUBG Mobile slips to second position in revenue chart (February 2022)

According to the report of Sensor Tower, Honor of Kings generated $225 million in player spending for the month of February 2022. It is however, important to note that the overall revenue is still less compared to the previous revenues of PUBG Mobile. As per the report, a large chunk of revenue came from China followed by Taiwan and Thailand.

At the second position stands PUBG Mobile which was able to gain $205.2 million in gross revenue. Once again, the highest revenue comes from China where the game is known as Game for Peace. About 7.7% revenue came from United States. Even though PUBG Mobile maintained a steady grow on App Store, it fell drastically on Google Play Store.

As for the global market, the overall player spending dropped down to $6.6 billion marking a decrease of 7.6 percent year-over-year. The first position of revenue market has been taken by United States as of now  which generated $1.9 billion, or 28.6 percent of total player spending worldwide.
