In 2022, how many Fortnite players will there be?
Epic, like many other successful game companies, does not often discuss Fortnite player counts with the public. However, there are still certain tidbits of information floating about.
It now has more than 350 million registered users, according to Epic Games, with numbers continuously rising through the 2018-2019 peak.
With the Galactus event in December 2020, the game reached a peak of upwards of 15 million concurrent players. Travis Scott’s groundbreaking concert in April 2020 attracted over 12 million simultaneous players.
It’s a little more difficult to find daily active gamers. According to PlayerCounter, game has between three and eight million concurrent players at any given time, with tens of millions checking in on a daily basis.
Is Fortnite doomed?
While game had a hard patch in Chapter 2, the influx of fresh content in Chapter 3 appears to have spurred gamers to keep going.

Regardless of whether Fortnite’s popularity grows or declines, its influence on gaming culture will endure – even if the Island (or Jonesy) does not. It’s unlikely that the game will ever reach the near-80 million player peak it reached in August 2018, but that doesn’t mean it’s dead.
