Valorant Champions 2023 is at its ending stages with the top 4 teams remaining. The tournament saw some of the best Valorant fans have seen so far. The tournament started with 16 teams and after two weeks of non-stop action, fans are left with the most deserving top 4 teams of the year. Defending champions LOUD, second place finisher at Masters Tokyo Evil Geniuses, probably the best team of Valorant we have seen so far Fnatic and W gaming gremlins Paper Rex have all made it to the top 4.

In the mid-season of VCT Pacific, Paper Rex changed their strategy and went on to defeat the Pacific region’s best, DRX to win the tournament. After this win, their confidence is on a different level. They are decimating everyone in their path and even convincingly defeated defending champions LOUD.

Paper Rex has the most enjoyable playstyle of all teams in the international scene. The over-aggressive duels-centric Playstyle also referred to as “w gaming” is one the hardest playstyles to counter. PRX loves to take direct aim duels and go for fast attacks which is enabled by their high quality of Players. Paper Rex has some of the best mechanically gifted individuals who will straight up aim Diff over 80% of the competition. Previously they used to struggle when the aim duels didn’t go their way but now things are different.

With the introduction of their new Star duelist, ‘Something’, the team has gone to the next level. If you thought the other players on the team were unbelievable, then “Something” is something else. His aim, movement, and game sense, in addition to his confidence, make him truly one of a kind. With his addition, the other member can slow down a bit and go for less risky plays when needed. He also enables players like F0rsaken to concentrate on their game instead of focusing on the entry.

Paper Rex has displayed dominance but it is yet to be seen how they dwell against the top seeds. Fans expect that with the addition of Something Paper Rex, they should be able to gun for the price. Also, a major eye will be on team coach Alecks to keep the players focused and keep the winning mentality going. They are looking in title contention form but it still needs to be seen when they cannot just out-aim their opponent in the likes of Fnatic. Something has been impressive but there are still harder matches to look forward to. If they manage to win Champion this year, the W-gaming legacy will be secured in the history books.
