Since Hogwarts Legacy is based on the Wizarding World created by J.K. Rowling, it contains many Harry Potter books and media references. Devs did a fantastic job of making the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry authentic. Fans of the franchise already know that Hogwarts castle contains a number of secrets. You can find a lot of secrets in the game’s version of the castle too.

One such secret is the Chamber of Secrets. The Chamber of Secrets is an iconic room where Harry Potter meets the Basilisk. It was built by one of the founders of Hogwarts, Salazar Slytherin. He disagreed with the other founders regarding the purity of magical blood and the idea that it should be a requirement for admission, so he left the Basilisk there to eradicate all the unworthy studying in Hogwarts.

Chamber of Secrets is technically not accessible in the Hogwarts Legacy. Since you cannot learn Parseltongue as of now in Hogwarts Legacy, you cannot get access to the iconic place. However, the good news is the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets is present in the game. Potterheads knows that entrance the Chamber of Secrets’ entrance is situated in a girl’s bathroom. In the game, you can find the entrance in the bathroom adjacent to the Lower Grand Staircase. If you have unlocked Lower Grand Staircase Floo Flame, it will be quite easy to travel there, otherwise, you have to go there on foot. Once there, you must go down the stairs, make a right, and proceed down the hallway until you reach two bathrooms. Enter the girl’s bathroom.

There you will see the sinks which lead to the Chamber of Secrets. Cast the Revelios spell which will open a Field Guide Page. It will make a statement about the snake-shaped tap, indicating that the girls’ restroom serves as the Chamber of Secrets’ entrance.

If you befriend Sebastian Sallow during your journey, you will get to know some interesting facts about the Chamber of Secrets. During the ‘In the Shadow of the Study’ side quest, you will explore Salazar Slytherin’s secret study. You can find a note in his study which says “a creature is currently sleeping in the chamber” which is a reference to the Basilisk from the Harry Potter and Chamber of Secrets movie. There are some speculations that the Chamber of Secrets will be available with the future DLC for the Hogwarts Legacy as, Ominis Gaunt, a genuine Slytherin heir, is present in Hogwarts Legacy.
