How to unlock Beast mounts in Hogwarts Legacy

As players already know, Hogwarts Legacy is set in the wizarding world of Harry Potter. The Wizarding World is home to many majestic magical creatures. You can catch these beasts and keep them within the vivarium in the Room of Requirement. But the most interesting thing about keeping these beasts is that you can use them as mounts.

Riding on the broomstick is fun and a great experience but riding a beast just hits differently. You’ll have access to a few additional flying mounts and one land mount as you move further in the main quest. Although these mounts are slower than the traditional brooms, exploring the Wizarding world on mounts is very unique.

There are 3 types of beasts that you can ride in Hogwarts legacy:

As mentioned earlier, there are 2 types of mounts in Hogwarts Legacy: flying mounts and land mounts.

Flying Mounts

Both Hippogriff and Thestral are flying beasts. Completing the “High Keep” main quest mission will give you Highwing, a Hippogriff you will meet in the Beasts class. Completing the ‘High Keep’ side quest also unlocks Thestral if you have the Dark Arts Pack, which was part of the Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe Edition. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was the first movie to include Thestrals, and ever since then, people have been fascinated by these spectral horses. There’s also Onyx Hippogriff, which was available to players who pre-ordered any edition of Hogwarts legacy. It’s just a different-colored Hippogriff and functions all the same as a normal Hippogriff

Land Mounts

Graphorn is the only land mount in Hogwarts Legacy. Graphorn is also the only mount with attack ability. Use the charge to break any barriers in your path and to do a little damage to any enemies you come across. This animal looks like a strange cross between an elephant and a ram. In order to unlock Land Mount, Graphorn, you need to complete Bakar’s Trail side quest mission. After completing this side quest, you can visit Graphornd Den on the Graphone Coast to tame Graphorn.
