VALORANT is a popular first-person tactical shooter that draws thousands of gamers every day. Riot Games has done a fantastic job supporting the game since it launched, with regular updates that include new agents, maps, and other intriguing stuff.
The popularity of VALORANT has attracted admirers across all platforms, including console gamers who are eagerly awaiting the game’s release. While Riot has hinted to a console version of VALORANT, it’s uncertain whether it will ever be released or if it will be compatible with older systems.

Valorant future plans about consoles?
Riot acknowledged that it is currently focusing on PC, but that it is “open to exploring” other platforms. However, the corporation did not specify a particular timeline. Riot has revealed that console versions are in the works, although it’s unclear whether the game would “transfer completely to console play.” This doesn’t rule out the possibility of VALORANT being on the PlayStation 4 or other systems in the future, but it’s unlikely.
The gameplay of VALORANT is designed specifically for PCs, allowing players to have pinpoint accuracy and compensate for extreme recoil with a mouse. On controllers, this is difficult to replicate, though a few tweaks could make the game more accessible on other platforms.
However, because the PS4 is an older console, don’t anticipate VALORANT to be available. If VALORANT makes it to consoles, it’ll almost certainly be on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. If you wish to play VALORANT, you should consider purchasing a PC for the time being.
