IShowSpeed triggers K-pop fans after he calls Stray Kids’ Bang Chan ‘BTS’

YouTube streamer IShowSpeed has been in a few controversies throughout his rise to fame. The streamer has made some questionable choices throughout his career and has been called out for them. However, this time Speed is receiving a lot of criticism from across the globe. The streamer triggered everyone after referring to a Korean artist, Bang Chan as BTS.

Before this, IShowSpeed has been called out for his misogynistic behaviour. The streamer made a ‘r*pe joke’ towards a female streamer named AshKaash. The streamer asked Ash what she would do if the two were the only people on earth referring to repopulating. However, she rejected Speed’s idea as she claimed that it wouldn’t work.

Her reply didn’t stop Speed who went further and said ‘Who’s gonna stop me’. This meant that the streamer would force himself on her. Furthermore, the streamer repeated the sentence over and over again. This got him into a lot of trouble and even his viewers claimed that it was going too far.

IShowSpeed was called out by his viewers for referring to Bang Chan as a member of BTS

In a recent stream, IShowSpeed reacted to Bang Chan’s tweet about him. Bang Chan is the leader of the popular Korean boy group Stray Kids. Furthermore, The Stray Kid’s star in an interview talked about his appreciation for Speed and mentioned that he was a big fan and appreciated the effort Speed puts into his streams and what he does. He also claimed that Speed is phenomenal at what he does. 

Speed found out about this interview on his livestream and excitedly watched it. While listening to Bang Chan talking about his the streamer had a big smile on his face. Furthermore, the streamer quickly went to Bang Chan’s Instagram to record and send him a thank you message. In the beginning of his message to Bang Chan, the streamer refers to him as ‘Bang Chan BTS’ which led him to receive a lot of scrutiny.

However, Speed also was very positive in his message and told Bang Chan that he appreciated his support. Furthermore, the streamer even told him to ‘keep grinding’. Despite his nice message to Bang Chan, the streamer got a lot of hate from the majority of K-pop fans who claimed that they were tired of people referring to every K-pop artist as ‘BTS’.
