After Conor McGregor chimed in on the success of YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul’s latest battle, the Irish MMA star shot back with a rather straightforward statement. Jake was intended to resolve his long-running feud with Tommy Fury, a British reality celebrity and boxer, at the conclusion of 2021, but the Brit backed out due to injuries.

Jake fought Tyron Woodley in a sequel from their summer fight, in which the social media star knocked out the former UFC Champion in a stunning knockout. While the bout was a success in Jake’s undefeated record, several commentators and fighters have argued that it didn’t sell as well as he claimed in terms of ticket revenue and pay-per-view purchases.

His alleged low pay-per-view buys were piled on by Irish Mixed Martial Arts star Conor McGregor, who claimed he didn’t watch the Woodley fight. He told the Fighting section of the Daily Mirror.

“I didn’t see the Woodley fight, it only did a couple thousand buys I saw online,I didn’t hear the diss track on Dana. I don’t pay attention to all that.”

On the other hand, Jake hinted that the Notorious might not be speaking the truth, simply writing, “I adore my fans,” in response to a status update on McGregor’s statements. While the two have seldom, if ever, acknowledged their feud explicitly, they aren’t shy to take thinly veiled jabs at each other.

Conor has tempered his attitude on them settling their dispute inside the ring over the years, recently suggesting that it is in a “never say never” stage rather than being entirely opposed to it. And we’ll just have just wait to see what happens, although fans are eagerly anticipating it. Recently YouTuber Bradley Martyn recently told Andrew Schulz that he was confident enough to take on the younger Paul brother in an MMA fight.
