Jason Momoa reportedly signs a Minecraft movie with Warner Brothers

The Minecraft Movie which has been under speculation for a long time now, has now added Jason Momoa to its supposed list of cast members.
Minecraft is a sandbox game which came out back in 2011 and is now a huge part of online culture as it sees over 120 million monthly players making it one of the longest lasting popular games of all time. Not to mention the numerous public servers that are hosted y various communities which make the game ever more interesting.
The movie has been in the works now for well over 8 years as production started back in 2014 and we were also set to watch a portion of the movie this year but no word about it has been outed to the public yet.
Jason Momoa reportedly in the Minecraft movie
The Minecraft movie will reportedly have the Game of Thrones actor starring in the Minecraft movie while Jared Hess who is known for movies such as Napoleon Dynamite will direct the movie now.
Jared Hess is also the 4th director whose name has popped up until now after Peter Sollett (The Path), Rob McElhenney (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia), and Shawn Levy (Free Guy) making the Minecraft Movie a true cinematic mystery.
Star Cast
As of now, the latest reports speak of Momoa joining the crew and there were talks of Steve Carell being approached for a role in the movie back in 2016.
The Minecraft Movie is truly one of the most secretive movie projects that we are seeing after the Marvel movies and even for those we get to know stuff, but the Minecraft movie? Just like Jon Snow, we know nothing.

Producers
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Mary Parent and Roy Lee will be producing while Jill Messick would get a posthumous credit due to her involvement in developing the film before her death in 2018.
In 2019, Mojang, the developers of the game, said that the story will center around a teenage girl “and her unlikely group of adventurers. After the malevolent Ender Dragon sets out on a path of destruction, they must save their beautiful, blocky Overworld.”
When does the movie come out?
Well that is one major thing that we, or anyone else for that matter, does not know.
