Before joining Spotify, one of his most popular venues was YouTube, where he had nearly 12 million subscribers in his ‘PowerfulJRE’ channel alone. When YouTube celebrity MrBeast came on the show and disclosed his strategy, even Rogan was taken aback. With almost 90 million members, his channel is currently as fifth most popular on the video-sharing network, but it’s a drop in the bucket compared with his overall reach.

While MrBeast’s films may begin in English with his normal cast of characters, he has recently made an effort to reach out to new audiences throughout the world. Much of his video is now available on YouTube in several languages, ranging from French to Russian. The online celebrity even hinted that a well-known anime voice actor might be the face of his new Japanese station.

“Across everything, we’re closing in on 200 million subscribers,” he said, much to Rogan’s surprise. This immense growth comes largely as a result of his efforts in “other languages,” MrBeast explained.

“These are the same videos on my main channel. We pay voice actors to dub over them, we translate the text, everything,” he said. “Wow,” Rogan responded multiple times, visibly stunned by the approach.

Rogan reacted many times, apparently taken aback by the approach. While it’s unknown whether additional JRE episodes will be translated in the future, Rogan was fascinated by the idea.

When Rogan looked into MrBeast’s platform techniques, he had nothing but admiration for his mentality and will to succeed. As he put it, “it’s not dumb luck.” MrBeast, who has become one of the platform’s greatest stars, stated that he hires over 100 people, which stunned Rogan again: “That’s ridiculous.”
