The streaming community is developing at a really fast rate! Streamers like xQc, Pokimane, and others are really getting loads and loads of fame lately. Moreover, streaming platforms are also getting a lot of notoriety, too. Although there’s new drama every now and then, the community really loves content creators and the content they produce! Recently, the co-founder of Kick, Bijan Tehrani, has claimed that the Stake-owned platform would soon buy their rival platform, Twitch.
Recently, many new streaming services have opened up. From Rumble to Kick, many popular streamers have long since switched from Twitch. Furthermore, streamers like Adin Ross are now thriving on Kick after Twitch banned him over many guideline violations. And he’s not the only one on the list. Moreover, due to this, Kick is now in fierce competition against Twitch!
Moreover, recently, Twitch’s popularity has suffered immensely after its whole guideline change. Creators on the platform are doing all sorts of weird stuff, from using censor bars to being entirely naked on livestreams. This has totally decreased Twitch’s reputation among viewers. Furthermore, in this race, Kick has really come far despite Twitch having such a long and firm standing. Recently, even Kick’s co-founder Bijan Tehrani said that they will soon buy out Twitch!
Kick’s co-founder Bijan Tehrani takes a dig at Twitch, says Stake-owned platform would buy the Amazon-owned streaming platform soon
Kick has no doubt really spread its wings after coming into existence not far back. The streaming service has greatly risen in popularity, with many content creators switching over to it. Moreover, with their parent company being Stake, the world’s biggest gambling website, Kick has loads of money to spare. Kick has given streamers really attractive contracts and famous streamers have received contracts worth tens of millions of dollars.
Furthermore, with even the Rapper Drake streaming on Kick, the streaming platform’s fame is through the roof. Recently, on an X post, the co-founder of Kick, Bijan Tehrani, said that they would soon buy off Twitch.
Bijan has made this comment using his official X handle, showing everyone the confidence that Kick has in themselves. The post reads: “Kick will eventually buy twitch”! This has really titled fans, many applauding the co-founder and many mocking him. Although this is definitely a pipe dream right now since Twitch is owned by the multinational giant Amazon, what the future holds, no one knows.
Moreover, recently, there’s been a huge layoff in Twitch, with over 35% of the company’s staff being laid off. This really shows how Twitch has been suffering recently, and many corporate decisions are not going in favor of the platform. So, at this point, the future of Twitch is not entirely certain; neither does it look like it is going toward its doom soon.
