LilyPichu reveals the truth of gacha games like Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact is a gacha game by HoYoverse where players can get premium rewards such as rare characters, their skins and even powerful weapons. This addictive game often compels its players to spend real time money given that the F2P rewards might not be that interesting compared to the play-to-win rewards.

One such victim was popular American musician Lilypichu, who revealed that even though she works for the gacha game as a voice actress, she couldn’t really control herself spending a whopping amount of money on the game.

Lilypichu claims to spend more money in Genshin Impact than what she earns

The rare probability of getting 5-star characters and weapons through primogems earned from completing in-game missions and event makes every player wishing to spend real money in the game. While some still decide to stay F2P, others can’t really save themselves from the addiction.

Lilypichu or Lily Ki, who might everyone know as the English voice artist of Sayu, a 4-star Anemo character in Genshin Impact revealed how she basically gave back the money that she earned as the voice artist of the character. In a recent Trash Taste podcast, she was quoted saying-

“I was playing the game, spending money, I was rolling for 5-star characters, I was watching Genshin MMDs on YouTube – it was bad.” 

The American internet personality is an ardent fan of gacha games including Cookie Run Kingdom where she voiced the Onion Cookie in English language. However, she didn’t shy away from revealing that she was unable to control herself from being addicted to these games which ultimately forced her to delete the games.

The OfflineTV member is one of the most watched streamers on Twitch but recently, she announced her move to YouTube Gaming. Aside from a streamer, she also works as a musician and a voice artist who has given her voice to several anime or video game characters in English language.
