Ludwig reveals how little he made from Shorts with 12 million views

Ludwig Ahgren, a YouTube streamer, disclosed how little money he got from a 12 million-view YouTube Shorts video compared to a similar clip video not using the shorts algorithm. YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki announced YouTube Shorts in her annual letter to artists in January 2021. Shorts was launched in an attempt by the firms to compete with TikTok, which has dominated the internet with short-form video content.
Since then, the new Shorts platform has helped creators all across the world achieve notoriety, while established producers have created entirely new channels for their viewers to enjoy. Ludwig, on the other hand, chose to contribute videos to the website’s Shorts algorithm using his existing clips channel. Now that a video has surpassed ten million views, Ahgren has revealed how much money he has gained from it.

Ludwig exposes his meagre earnings
Ludwig has stated that after four years of uploading content to his different YouTube channels, he has had a video reach of over ten million views. Shorts make less money by default because they don’t show commercials, according to Ahgren. Instead, YouTube’s short-film rewards are more of a “homie move,” in which they simply pay you a certain amount for a huge number of views.
“You can find your video sponsors and do one-minute sponsored films,” he continued, “but let’s ignore that and just go off of what the site gives you outright so we can figure out how much 12 million views pays you.”
“Have a stab at it. How many are there? 100? 1000? “No. $85.02,” says the Youtuber. The YouTuber went on to say that, while he isn’t complaining about how much money he makes from shorts, he does think it’s unfair that his editors only get half of what the videos they edit earn.
