Medal Esports joins India’s First Franchised Esports League, Skyesports Masters

The esports scene all around the world is blooming. With huge tournaments like Blast.tv & IME Masters, there’s never been a dry day in the world of esports, especially for games like Counter-Strike. And India is finally getting its first franchised eSports league hosted by SkyeSports, titled SkyeSports Masters. Medal Esports would be joining the tournament as the sixth franchised team. This upcoming about between the best is going to be a spectacular one.
This tournament has a prize pool of ₹2,00,00,000, which is huge for the Indian eSports industry. Eight franchise teams will participate in thegamet and compete in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO). This tournament will take place as an on-ground event (LAN) with a live audience. And it is hyping up the players. Furthermore, open-for-all cafe qualifiers are currently going on in 20 cities and will soon come to an end.
Skyesports Masters will begin with the League Stage from July 8 to Aug. 17. The eight franchised teams will compete in fierce round-robin action that will span multiple weeks, and the top four teams will advance to the Playoffs. India’s four best CS: GO rosters will compete for the title of champions in the Skyesports Masters Playoffs on Aug. 26 and 27. Medal Esports has announced its participation in this upcoming tournament as the sixth franchise team.

Medal Esports participating in Skyesports Masters

The Skyesports Masters have confirmed Medal Esports, a Delhi-based eSports organization, as a participant. Medal Esports will be competing against seven other teams in these fierce matches to claim the huge prize pool. Medal Esports plans to unveil a seven-man roster for the Skyesports Masters soon. Open-for-all cafe qualifiers are currently taking place in twenty cities across India, and they will select two players from it. For more info, visit the Skyesports Masters Official website. According to Medal Esports, they’ll be implementing a tried-and-tested approach for their new CS: GO roster. They’ll have their team foster an ‘environment of trust & open communication’ so the team can work on their mistakes. This approach will solidify Medal Esport’s roster as one of the top teams in the country. Shiva Nandy, the Founder & CEO of SkyeSports, commented on Medal Esports’ participation and said,

The other teams competing in the tournament, along with Medal Esports, are Revenant Esports, Gods Reign, 7Sea Esports, Marcos Gaming, and Reckoning Esports. The last two franchises are yet to be decided, so fans should stay on the lookout for them. This tournament will give a big boost to the eSports Industry of India and, more importantly, CS: GO. This tournament will showcase hidden talents all across the country and will solidify the eSports Industry’s foundation. This upcoming tournament is going to be a spectacle for India.
