Minecraft is clearly gearing up to release the much-awaited 1.19 Update in the game and some new updates are appearing. Here is a small glance at the important changes in Minecraft 1.19 Pre-release 2 that came out today.

The Minecraft 1.19 The Wild Update is on the edge of release, but developers have been holding it back to make the final product perfect. Before the full release, some smaller patches keep coming to the game that makes small bug fixes and quality-of-life changes to the game to fix known issues or those that have recently appeared. This update is mainly for the Java version of the game and is now open for players to download and observe.

This patch does not introduce any new changes in the game but is mainly a bug-fix and some new changes patch.

The main change that was highlighted is that mobs were spawning inside Nether Portals, which made them instantly teleport into the Nether Realm. This is the main bug to be fixed but the developers have clarified that they will be bringing it in with the Minecraft 1.19 update.

Changes in the Patch

  • Wardens will not despawn if they are stuck in a liquid, instead of digging
  • Head Equip block sound change reverted

Bug Fixes

  • Sculk Sensors don’t detect stripping logs, tilling the dirt, or pathing
  • Sculk Senor’s “block placed” does not trigger while villagers are placing crops or when snow golems place snow layers
  • Sculk Sensors are not activated upon placing food onto campfires
  • Music discs do not have active Sculk Sensors
  • Sculk sensors don’t detect Endermen/Shulkers teleporting from one place to another
  • Goat Horns don’t snap on copper ore
  • Baby goats with horns lose their horns when fed
  • Warden afflicting Darkness to players in the same team
