“It was stupid”: Mizkif explains why his full-time streaming decision post controversies was ‘wrong’
Mizkif wishes to stream less on Twitch
Twitch streamer Matthew ‘Mizkif’ Rinaudo who was presented with the award of ‘Best Just Chatting’ streamer at The Streamer Awards 2022, has announced that he is not going to stream now as much as he did during the initial days of his career as a content creator.
On his September 20th broadcast, the 27-year old streamer explained why it was a wrong move on his part to go back to full-time streaming just after he was entangled around a lot of controversies on the Amazon-owned streaming platform.

Mizkif plans to make changes to his streaming schedule
One of the founders of OTK (One True King), Mizkif was placed on a leave by the organization after he was accused of downplaying the se*ual harassment case placed by Adrianah Lee against his friend CrazySlick. His racist and homophobic remarks exposed by his former friend and fellow streamer Ice Poseidon also drew him a huge backlash.
While Mizkif denied to speak on the matter officially for a long time, several clips of the streamer admitting that he tried to cover up the matter as it involved his friend, went viral on the internet.
It was only after the situation was put under some control, that Mizkif came back to Twitch and going back to full-time streaming without addressing the matter. He was called out by several streamers for his ‘silence’ but the call outs were in vain.
However, Mizkif has finally hinted that the situation and the controversies involving him took a toll on his mental health as he has now decided to stream less than he used to. On his recent Twitch stream, he was found saying-
"I basically want to say this, I kind of want to not stream as much as I am. I think me streaming as much as I have, which has been five days a week, I know you're going to be like, 'Stop Miz, it's nothing.' I can't take it."
As there were speculations on whether he will be taking a break or not, the streamer confirmed that taking a break is out of question as he has ‘a lot of employees‘ and he doesn’t want them to lose their jobs. He will instead make changes on his streaming schedule as he plans to stream less than 5 days in a week.
Explaining that going back to full-time streaming abruptly was a bad decision, Mizkif stated that he wants to relax for a moment and take things further at ease. He also assured his fans that he is fine but needs time to get himself together.
Fans react to Mizkif’s decision
The Twitch clip of Mizkif announcing this decision was shared widely across different platforms. He received mixed responses on his claim as some fans wanted him to recover from the past controversies whereas others still labelled him as a lier and a manipulator who always plays the victim.
