Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson has been known for his innovative ideas for his videos on YouTube and also for his philanthropy and as we see him close in to 100 million subscribers on the platform, his videos never seem to disappoint.

Jimmy has always said that his main priority is posting good content that people will actually enjoy and not post videos just for the sake of posting.

Building upon that, MrBeast recently uploaded a video in which he let a person stay in solitary confinement for however long they wanted and he would give them $10,000 per day.

The challenge started out easy for the participant ,Josh, who had plenty of things to do in the room he was put in. The catch however, was that one item would be removed from the room every day.

Josh managed to stay in the room for a whopping 30 days making him $300,000 richer. During the process, he also sent Chris and Chandler out to get a ring for his girlfriend whom he later proposed to after coming out of the room.

Mental Health Abuse?

After the video went live, MrBeast came under fire from netizens saying that he had endangered Josh’s mental health by putting him in a room all alone and promoting solitary confinement which typically causes serious issues for the prisoners who are on the recieving end of it such as psychosis, memory loss, and suicidal thoughts.

However, before MrBeast himself could say anything, Josh himself came out and cleared things out saying “I can assure you that they had people watching over me 24/7,” adding that the crew made sure he was in no kind of danger, neither physically, nor mentally and they had everything taken care of while also saying that it was a great opportunity for him to relax a bit.
