Back in December, the acclaimed ‘King of YouTube’, PewDiePie, was dethroned as the most subscribed individual on YouTube after ages of being at the top. His reign was so influential that more people know him to be the successor of YouTube, despite numbers being overturned.

However, now, MrBeast looks to shine his spot on top by once again defeating PewDiePie in analytics. Interestingly, this time he has overtaken the all-time high channel views of PewDiePie.

Although this wasn’t all surprising, it still goes to show the potential the philanthropic YouTuber has. The fact that he’s immaculately taking his channel to greater heights by the day. His exponential growth is more impressive to some, as opposed to the ceaseless heights PewDiePie had maintained over the years.

Just after defeating the ‘King of YouTube’ in subscribers, MrBeast has acclaimed another feat. As of writing this, he stands at 29.077 billion views as opposed to PewDiePie’s 29.069 billion. What’s more remarkable is how Mr. Beast has pulled this off despite making around 4000 lesser videos than PewDiePie. He has only made 741 videos as of writing this, and PewDiePie stands at 4.7 thousand videos.

But to put into perspective the greatness of PewDiePie’s achievement, he succeeded much simpler than MrBeast. MrBeast has a high-budget crew who also edit and plan altogether. On the other hand, PewDiePie his videos are recorded from his bedroom, entertaining audiences through the internet. Despite all this, PewDiePie garnered followers through his old-school, comedic commentary.

On the contrary, you could argue all that planning and extra money MrBeast had spent for his channel, proved its worth. This being said MrBeast’s most-viewed video, almost quadruples PewDiePie’s most-viewed video. His ‘Squid-Game’ video reached a household view count of approximately 466 million views compared to PewDiePie’s 4-second clip of YouTube Originals‘, 133 million views.

Despite all this, the two share a healthy and respectful relationship on and off camera. PewDiePie has even acknowledged MrBeast’s feat, as he surpassed his subscriber count back in December 2022.

He had nothing but praise, apart from the banter he unleashes upon anyone and everyone. The internet, on the other hand, was quick to dismiss this. It is worth noting that PewDiePie isn’t as regular as he once was, or even compared to MrBeast, who is currently what you could consider to be in his prime. PewDiePie also recently tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend and has also recently become a father. Nonetheless, both MrBeast and PewDiePie hold the hearts of the YouTube community for the enormous reach that they, respectively, share.
