FNS is arguably the best Valorant IGL in the entire North American Valorant scene. The pro player made a switch to Valorant after playing competitive CSGO for a few years. Since then, he has led the NRG squad to huge success. FNS also played for Optic Gaming and Team Envy for a significant portion of his Valorant career.

While the pro has distanced himself from competitive Valorant in nearly six months, he still offers invaluable insights about Valorant eSports on his streams. The Valorant Champions Tour is back with another season. Teams from all over the world are fighting each other to earn a spot in the first masters tournament, VCT Masters Madrid.

In VCT Pacific 2024, Bleed eSports was recently eliminated by Global eSports 2-1 in an intense match. Global eSports managed to ruin yay’s return to the Valorant scene after nearly two years away. FNS claimed that BLEED eSports were unable to use yay, dubbed ‘El Diablo’, efficiently.

FNS claims that yay should stick to playing Jett or Chamber in VCT

FNS argued that when a player as skilled as yay is on a team, he must play the characters that he is most comfortable with. That is how the team can ensure that yay’s entire potential is squeezed out during the match.

FNS added that if he had yay on his team, he would only make him play Jett or Chamber. Killjoy could also be considered in certain situations.

I strongly believe that when somebody is as skilled as yay is, you need to put him on his most comfortable character.

For context, Yay played as Viper for two of the three games against Global eSports. He was also the lowest-rated player for two games of the series. During the last game, Yay only had a rating of 0.48. This is completely unheard of for Yay.

FNS added that he was unaware of what the goals of BLEED eSports were. He was also unaware of their thought process during the game. However, he made it explicitly clear that Jett and Chamber are the only two characters he wanted to see El Diablo play if he were on FNS’s team.
