NBA Star LeBron James shares his passion for gaming with the new PlayStation collab

Despite the huge numbers in the video gaming community, whenever the news of a celebrity also being a gamer goes viral, the community goes haywire. And what if the star is a fan-favorite athlete? Well, the hype goes through the roof. Moreover, this is what happened when the famous NBA star LeBron James shared his passion for gaming after a collaboration with PlayStation.

PlayStation thrives because of its ambitious limited-edition collabs. PlayStations have been doing limited edition collab with their games and somethings even famous Orgs. In the past, PlayStation had a collab with FaZe clan, and recently, with the reveal of Spider-Man 2, Sony also revealed a limited edition Spider-Man theme PS5 console. However, a collab with a famous star athlete adored by fans is a first for the company.

And LeBron James also shared his immense passion for gaming, giving the collaboration a lot of merit. In a video released on the NBA star’s official Twitter handle, he revealed his journey in the video gaming community. From childhood to adulthood and the games he played, the star shared it all. Furthermore, the community loved this side of the athlete!

LeBron James shares his passing for video games

LeBron James recently released a video on his official Twitter handle where the star talks about his passion for gaming. And it’s not basketball or any other sports, but rather video games. The star talked about how video games made up his childhood and how his love for them hasn’t decreased yet, and they are still an integral part of his life. This video was labeled “Passion for Play” and consisted of James’ history with gaming.

James explains how he has been a gamer since ever. Also, when asked what role gaming played in his life, the star said,

“PlayStation and gaming have been a huge part of my childhood. It has been a huge part of my life now. It was a way to bring us together and have fun and enjoy. And compete with one another. And win. We are a super competitive group, so we’ve been at it a lot.”

Also, James says his little brother has been his gaming partner since childing and also his greatest competitor. James also claimed that every sports genre, from boxing to football and even golf is his favorite genre.

Also, James’ best choice of game is Madden. He has played the game a lot in his life and said nothing can compare to it. The NBA star also received his love for Marvel and especially the Spider-Man games. Also, he compared video games with his morning coffee by explaining how he plays games right in the morning, around 5 to 6 a.m. Also, Lebron James called gaming a joy. He said,

“Like you really enjoy & have fun. I’ve done it since I was a kid, and now I see my kids do it. It brings joy, and that’s all we need in life.

Furthermore, he expressed great views on the PlayStation collab. He said how unboxing PlayStations in childhood was a delight, and now unboxing a collab made on him brings him much more joy! James also explained the inspiration behind the design, and fans loved it. Overall, LeBron James and his love & passion for gaming run deep, and fans were delighted to know such a big athlete is also massively into gaming.
