Nintendo’s Mario Bros crosses $800 million worldwide on Box Office

Nintendo has always been on the top on their arcade games. Over the years Nintendo has sold and competed with likes of Xbox from Microsoft and PS from Sony. And one of it’s flagship games “Mario” has made this all possible. Mario has been on “run” ever since it first came out in 1983. With it’s initial success with Nintendo’s console gaming , the company did not sit back and brought out spin off from the original Mario game. With Mario double dash, it entered the racing games and topped it off leaving behind the Gran Turismo and Need for Speed franchise.

Majority of its profits came from Mario and subsequently, Mario Bros. Nintendo has been milking the same cow for 4 decades now and fans still don’t seem to get enough. With it’s recent entry of “The super Mario Bros” movie is going to be it’s third installment in series. Previously the company released movies in 1986 and 1993 and after a long wait of 30 year comes 2023 edition of the movie.

Mario Bros is among the most successful franchise in world with enormous profits for Nintendo. In the beginning, when it was first introduced, the game took some time to grasp a hold on the gaming world. But as time passed on, people got more affiliated with the brand name Mario.

In one of its most iconic and historic runs, Mario Bros has crossed $800 million worldwide in its box office revenue. Not a single child hasn’t heard of Mario Bros in his childhood. This is the cult following and exciting addition to the franchise that Nintendo keeps adding on.

While it also keeps the fans in the loop with new updates and other fan material sales online. It has averted eyes and made them roll on how big the bet of Mario has paid off for Nintendo.

Within the first week of it’s release the earnings seemed promising but in the later period of time Mario “Magic” took everyone by surprise. Mario Bros is easily the highest contender of highest earners in 2023 on Box office.

While it seems pretty easy for Mario Bros to get past the 1 billion dollars mark, it would be interesting to see if it would catch up with big brand names of Disney like “The Lion King” and “Frozen”. Either way, Mario Bros has made its mark in the movie business now.

It would be interesting to see what more feats the Mario Bros will reach. With it’s current run, it seems very promising.
