Pokimane to skip San Diego TwitchCon
TwitchCon 2022 will be commencing today at San Diego bringing together Twitch’s popular stars under one roof. However, one of the most known faces, Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys might not be able to attend the event due to health issues.
Pokimane was one of the invited guests at TwitchCon 2022, with other prominent personalities such as Amouranth, Kai Cenat and others set to make an appearance at the event. Naturally, her announcement of not attending the event came as a shocker to everyone.
Pokimane asks fans to visit OTV booths as she skips TwitchCon 2022
The 26 year old Moroccan-Canadian personality has not been on her top game lately. With reduced live stream sessions and long YouTube uploads explaining her current health condition, fans were worried whether the Twitch star will be able to greet her fans at the TwitchCon 2022 or not.
To the utter disappointment of fans, Pokimane announced on Twitter that she will have to skip the event as she does not feel better yet. Fans might check her previous tweets where she updated that she has been feeling sick lately but is not sure whether it’s a normal fever or Covid-19.
“Unfortunately, I can’t make it to TwitchCon, I’ve been sick this week and don’t feel better yet. Please check out the OTV (OfflineTV) and Ebiko booths! I’ll have lots of stickers there and hope to see/meet everyone at the next TC!”
The San Diego TwitchCon was supposed to be the first public appearance of Pokimane after she came out of her mental reset break. Even though she had greeted her European fans at the Amsterdam TwitchCon on July, American fans were looking forward to meet her at San Diego.

Fellow streamers react on Pokimane’s absence at the event
Her fans are not the only ones who were upset over the news as fellow content creators expressed how they wanted to meet her but were equally concerned about her health and hence, urged her to take good care of herself.
While Pokimane has not provided further details about her health condition, it is likely due to the tinnitus condition she has been experiencing for over a month, that she has decided to skip the San Diego Twitch Convention.
