PUBG Mobile players arrested for playing LAN event in Bangladesh
According to the report of Ogro News Network, players from different districts of Bangladesh had gathered together to participate in a LAN tournament that was organized in Chuadanga. Approximately, 24 to 35 players came to play this tournament whose invitation they had received online.
The players belonged to different age groups and as a consequence, some were sent to prison for a period of two days whereas the decision on underage players was taken at a later time. The Additional Superintendent of Chuadanga Police claimed that legal action will be taken against all of the players and event organizers simultaneously keeping their age in mind.
The police had apparently raided the area where the PUBG Mobile LAN event took place citing that the relevant permission was not taken from the authorities before arranging the big event. Moreover, the game had been banned in the country last year, therefore, prompting the police to take action against the illegal activities.
Both PUBG Mobile and Free Fire were banned by the High Court considering the harm they caused to the teenagers. Most of the international tournaments that took place in the country were banned, therefore, it is quite surprising that teenagers from different districts were invited to play a banned game.
Nevertheless, the incident has certainly sent shockwaves to battle-royale game’s community as this is for the first time, that the police has arrested the players playing PUBG Mobile in a country where the game has been banned.
