Esports will be setting a huge landmark on September next year as it has been officially announced that the Asian Games 2022, where games such as PUBG Mobile, DOTA 2 and Hearthstone will be played will be commencing on September 2023 and would be wrapped up within a month.

Professional eSports players and other notable personalities belonging to this industry have pinned high hopes for the Asian Games 2022 as gamers from several countries will be coming together to grab the prestigious medal.

Games such as PUBG Mobile, DOTA 2 and others were long considered to be just a thing of leisure but with the onset of pandemic, these games became a profession and fell under the category of eSports or games which can become competitive. As it stands now, several countries have accepted eSports as just another sport.

With several tournaments taking place globally, the net worth of eSports events and professionals is skyrocketing. A large chunk of population especially the youth are being inspired to take up eSports as a career. With the upcoming Asian Games 2022, the value of eSports is getting huge day by day.

The event which was earlier schedule to take place on September this year has been officially postponed to September 2023 citing Covid-19 restrictions. The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) has stated that the games will take place between September 28th to October 8th.

Hangzhou Sports Park

The offline event will be held in Hangzhou Sports Park situated in China and it will certainly be a grand event considering that eSports is being given so much importance. Apart from the Asian Games 2022, Esports will also be a medal event at the Commonwealth Games 2022 that commences from 28th July.
