Tencent has already started rolling out the PUBG Mobile 1.9 update for the players which also marks the celebration of the battle-royale game’s fourth anniversary. The patch notes available in the official website also provide us an insight on what to expect from this anniversary update.

It is quite true that Anniversary updates in PUBG Mobile are quite special as the developers a lot of content for the players which is quite fun and entertaining. New modes

Vibrant Anniversary

For PUBG Mobile 1.9 update, the developers have added a new game mode that is not based on any collaboration but rather on the 4th anniversary of the game. Players can enjoy this new vibrant mode by heading over to the Mode selection, selecting the Ranked Mode and choosing the Erangel/ Livik themed map.

Colourful spawn island

New aerial battleground

A new spawn island can be played in this new mode where players can use different coloured balls in order to dye the 4 giant statues of their favorite color to trigger a special performance. At this mode, players will wear a head cover of different colors which will grow big once they are hit by the enemies. This aerial battleground will be available for the first 5 minutes only.

New vehicle

The PUBG Mobile 1.9 update has also added a new vehicle based on the anniversary theme. The mountain bike vehicle is quite similar to the one added in the PUBG PC version few days ago. One of the best things regarding this bicycle is that players can carry it with themselves wherever they go.


New camps

Large-scale resource camp: Vibrant Plaza. Check out the Bicycle Exhibit and other special anniversary areas. There are extra supply crates waiting for you!

Small-scale resource camp: Vibrant Camp. Check out the memory exhibits voted on by players, and activate them to relive happy moments. Collect combat supplies and souvenirs.

New small-scale military-themed camps: The Vehicle Radar has been added. Activate it to learn the location of nearby vehicles to easily find them


Classic Mode improvements

Recall feature

The recall feature has once again been added to the game in PUBG Mobile 1.9 update. Every player will be provided with a single chance of returning to the battlefield after they die. This feature can be used in both Unranked Mode and Ranked mode on different maps.

Recall feature

Supply Shop

The number of supply shops have been increased so that players can find advanced supplies more easily. The items available in the shop has also been updated as some items have been removed while some such as Flare Gun have been added. The cost of items in these shops have also been adjusted.


Map Improvements

Aftermath

The appearance and animation of the ziplines in the Aftermath mode have been improved for a smoother gameplay. The handling of shotguns and restoring the screen shake that occurs sometimes has also been upgraded.

Cheer Park upgrade

Cheer park

One of the biggest attraction of the next update is going to be a completely revamped Cheer Park. Players can witness a racing gameplay, new hoverboard platforms and a large shooting area as the whole social area has been enlarged to make the game more fun.

Royal Arena: Assault

The Royal Arena mode will be added in the PUBG Mobile 1.9 update from April 7th at 2:00 (UTC+0). A random area of Livik or Erangel will become a combat zone similar to the one played in the Team Deathmatch modes. However, players will be able loot airdrop items in this mode.
